Rajen Sheth | CEO
Mr. Sheth has developed a strong and significant track record as a disciplined, hands-on owner and manager of commercial real estate assets over the past fifteen (15) years. His broad real estate experience includes acquisitions, turn-arounds, leasing, property management, and asset dispositions. He has owned, developed, acquired and/or sold a variety of asset classes including self storage, retail, office, office warehouse, medical, rehabilitation facilities, residential properties and undeveloped land.
In 2007, Mr. Sheth founded ValueSpace Storage Fund I, his first self storage investment fund focused on acquiring existing storage assets in the Metro Atlanta area. Mr. Sheth acquired self storage properties and successfully navigated the ensuing downturn of the Great Recession. This Fund generated returns of 110% when the assets were sold in 2015 to a NSA, a public self storage REIT.
Previously, Mr. Sheth was a Founder and Managing Director for Insight Capital Management, LLC. At Insight Capital, Mr. Sheth was responsible for co-managing a value-oriented investment fund. The Fund was focused on investing in stocks of publicly held companies whose businesses are durable, financially secure and are selling at deep discounts to their intrinsic values. During Mr. Sheth’s tenure the fund achieved returns of 107% in four years.
Prior to his current activities, Mr. Sheth founded Infiniti Ventures, LLC, a strategy consulting, venture capital, and mergers and acquisitions advisory firm. Through Infiniti Ventures, Mr. Sheth worked for numerous companies including AT&T, Sprint, Con Edison, Motorola, Southern California Edison, Telecom Italia, Wipro and others. He also created the Telecom Investors Forum (TIF), a group of 28 Venture Capital investors representing over $1 Billion in investment capital. This affiliation of VC’s, worked together to co-invest in companies in the telecom and Internet infrastructure space.
Mr. Sheth earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Illinois, and his MBA (concentration in Marketing and Finance) with Honors from the University of Southern California. He has served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Self Storage Association for three years. He is a current Member of REIAC: Real Estate Investment Advisory Council. Mr. Sheth is also a Member of the Board of Councilors for the Carter Center and a Charter Member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE-Atlanta) and served as Treasurer in 2007. He resides with his wife and three children in Johns Creek, GA. Mr. Sheth has completed several bike and running races, including two 100-mile bike races, and a half-marathon. He is an avid traveler and has visited more than 45 countries.
