Dixie joined Boardwalk Development Group in 2017 as the Property Manager of Boardwalk Storage-Friendship, taking the property from 72% occupancy to 100% occupancy. In 2019, Dixie won the National Self Storage Manager of the Year award for her accomplishments.

 

Dixie quickly became Area Manager and then the Director of Operations as Boardwalk acquired new properties, where she has managed over 20 Property Managers and 25 Facilities. Dixie has been instrumental in the growth and development of Boardwalk Development Group and has become well known for her training and meticulous Operation skills. She excels at training staff and writing procedures along with ensuring these procedures are consistently carried out. She has been instrumental in Boardwalk’s growth from two properties to being ranked among the Top 100 Operators in the country, specializing in organization and creating structured processes to make Boardwalk productive, cost effective, and family-oriented.

 

Prior to joining the Boardwalk team, Dixie was a stay at home mom for 17 years. Previous to this, she worked as a legal assistant and paralegal for several real estate law firms in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Having begun her career in the real estate industry, Dixie’s focuses were on mortgage loan processing, real estate closings, and office management.

 

Dixie has obtained a degree from Shorter College, a loan processing certification from Mercer University, and a paralegal certification from Westlaw.

 

Outside of work Dixie enjoys antiquing, historical research with family members, and taking trips to the beach and the mountains. Dixie is an avid crime enthusiast where she collaborates with other enthusiasts to help solve old crimes. She also has a passion for decorating.
