Dixie joined Boardwalk Development Group in 2017 as the Property Manager of Boardwalk Storage-Friendship, taking the property from 72% occupancy to 100% occupancy. In 2019, Dixie won the National Self Storage Manager of the Year award for her accomplishments.
Dixie quickly rose to Area Manager and then Director of Operations as Boardwalk acquired new properties. In these roles, she has managed more than 20 Property Managers across 25 facilities. Widely recognized for her training expertise and meticulous operational skills, she excels at developing staff, writing clear procedures, and ensuring those procedures are consistently followed. Dixie has been instrumental in Boardwalk’s growth—from owning just two properties to ranking among the Top 100 Operators in the country—by specializing in organization and creating structured processes that keep the company productive, cost-effective, and family-oriented.
Prior to joining the Boardwalk team, Dixie was a stay-at-home mom for 17 years. Previous to this, she worked as a legal assistant and paralegal for several real estate law firms in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Having begun her career in the real estate industry, Dixie’s focuses were on mortgage loan processing, real estate closings, and office management.
Dixie has obtained a degree from Shorter College, a loan processing certification from Mercer University, and a paralegal certification from Westlaw.
Outside of work Dixie enjoys antiquing, historical research with family members, and taking trips to the beach and the mountains. Dixie is an avid crime enthusiast where she collaborates with others to help solve old crimes. She also has a passion for decorating.
